MTV has mentioned that executive producer Brian Peterson has revealed that both Zatanna and Martian Manhunter will return at some point in this season. If my memory serves me, I seem to recall that people were pleased with Zatanna's appearance.
There hasn't been any confirmation whether or not the same actors, Serinda Swan and Phil Morris, will return to the roles. You would think it'd be crazy if they did recast them if there were any questions of salary or availability. The good thing about the show is that they haven't tried to recast Michael Rosenbaum as Lex or Sam Jones III as Pete Ross (although I'm sure there would be viewers that wouldn't mind if Lana Lang was recast).
Peterson also said that they were hopeful for another season after this. He feels there is still more stories to tell about Clark before he fully becomes Superman. I'm not sure if I agree with that.
Are you excited about the return of Zatanna and Martian Manhunter? Would you want to see a tenth season after this? Does it bother you that Clark still hasn't become Superman?

I respect peoples opinion to not like the show but I love Smallville
Zatanna and Metallo were some of the best interpretations of the characters, I can't wait for Speedy
I wouldn't mind weeing wither characters again especially MM because he needs his powers back. As for another season, it should have ended alread but there's so much to do. They could do some if not most in a made for TV movie
-Lex needs to return
-Lois and Clark
-He needs to fly
-Chloe needs to die or leave
-Hopefully a Green Lantern and Titan reference
-Fix a poorly done Zod character and the rest of the Kandorians
Glad to see them returning. I would like to see J'onn get his powers back and I would like to see him in his TRUE Martian form at least once.
I know they won't have Batman/Bruce Wayne in it. But can they at least like mention him give him at least a nod like rumors of a man dressed up as a bat in Gotham. Just give me something !!
This show definitely needs one more season to have Clark finally be Superman, & perhaps bring in Darkseid & bring back Doomsday for round 2.
i rather Kara Laura Vandervort back i miss her alot on sv. MM and Zatanna are cool to but this show has become DC hero cameo show now. last few eppisodes are about Ollie last time i checked the show was about Clark Kent not Oliver Queen.
I want M.M. to get his powers back and be a full time cast member then get his own spin-off.

Somehow they put in as many DC characters as possible but the other two most influential keep getting left out especially since the Green Arrow in this show is more a composite Batman. I thought this restructuring of DC would mean that they could link there other media more but know I don't know what that meant I don't even know if they know what it meant. Maybe I'm wrong maybe it's like that Batman: Brave and the Bold series Superman and Wonder Woman aren't going to show up on that. It's funny he mentioned Sam Jones since he is probably going to get locked up for 20 years.

If it wasn't for the guest appearances of other characters I wouldn't even consider watching this show it should be retitled DCU the tv series.

Clark does need at least one more season before they wrap it up. I was hoping Conner would appear eventually and hopefully a return of Bizarro. Hal Jordan would have been awesome too. Or maybe John, Kyle, Guy, or Alan instead, since they had to use Bart instead of Jay, Barry or Wally. How about a Titans reference? Maybe Kara returns?
