Reynolds recently spoke to Empire Online and gives up an update. We know that Reynolds is a big fan of the character and that there are lots of Deadpool fanboys.
I’m one of them. I’ve always been a fan, at least for the last eight or nine years. I feel a bit of validation because I knew going into Wolverine that there’s a huge fanbase for this and I don’t think anyone else did.
He knows that in order for the movie to succeed, it has to be done correctly. What about Deadpool breaking the fourth wall?
Break the fourth wall? Oh yeah, he’s got to. I want to see him break the Great Wall.
The studio's working on a script and trying to find a director. The main goal is to make sure it stays close to the source material.

Yeah a wink while looking into the camera...(Zac Morris style) would work well.
The only thing that could make this better is if they manage to make him speak yellow.
^^ U mean like Blind Date? I Think its easy to break the fourth wall in film.. Spike Lee has done this is a few of his movies(DO the Right Thing for example)... Its do-able.. IF spike did it nearly 20 years ago... It should be
What's all this talk about breaking walls? He just needs to be the meric with the mouth and the movie should rock out.
It would be a different breaking of the fourth wall in the movie-verse than in the comics, but it wouldnt be hard at all.

More Deadpool movie news?? It doesn't even have a script yet and there's more news on this than anything else. This really is a slow news day :(

It's good to see someone who was a fan get cast in a particular roll, instead of a someone being cast in that roll then becoming a fan. It's more genuine that way. He had an idea how the character worked and brought it to the screen. Good for Reynolds. Plus with his sarcastic nature I was blown away when I found out he was doing the part. I couldn 't see a better person doing Deadpool.
Definitely break the fourth wall. I find that hilarious in movies...and Deadpool would be the bestest (yes, that's right, I said it) ever!
