Who Is...Batgirl?

DC gives a look at the upcoming Batgirl series.

I have a feeling this is bound to get people talking. DC has just released a new image of Batgirl. With other Bat-characters mixing things up and putting on new costumes, what can we say about Batgirl?

Looking at the image below, it sure looks like Cassandra Cain's version. But when was the last time you saw her wearing lipstick? Does this mean that perhaps Barbara Gordon will be walking again after "The Cure"? Maybe Stephanie Brown has decided to try taking on yet another Bat-identity since being Robin didn't quite workout. Or maybe it's someone completely different. With the three I mentioned already, would any of them want the identity?

Batgirl #1 lands in August. What do you think? We can probably safely assume it's not Bruce Wayne...

I don't know but as a supporter of the Batgirl comics I will be picking it up, Cas got screwed in her last run, so Im hoping it will be someone cool. I would like babs to come back, but I doubt that she would come back as batgirl, but Miss Brown well im not sure about that one.

UMMMM Doesn't she has powers? Wouldn't that like change the Batgirl character too much? O_O?

I was thinking about it being for a second, and I wouldnt be that surprise if it was her. After all, the first time we did see her WAS in a home made Batgirl costume, just like Babs.

I know Stephanie talked about wanting to be Batgirl in a Batgirl comic book... maybe she got a promotion? o_O

I doubt its Cassandra, that stand, the smirk, none of that is her.

I dont think Babs would go BACK in being Batgirl, but I have been wrong on many occasions ^^ But really, I would see her more of a Batwoman, than batgirl.

Same thing with Catwoman, she's too mature, too experienced to be called Batgirl, Batwoman would suit her more.

The stitching on the mask leads me to think it's one of them Catwomen.
