Woody and Buzz are returning to the big screen!

There comes a time in every toy's life when a child eventually grows up, so what happens to the toys? If the success of the first two Toy Story movies was an indication of being a formula for what works, then no question that the third film will be just as good. After releasing their teaser trailer back at the start of June, it was only a matter of time until the official trailer would be released by Disney and Pixar. Who knew it would come so soon? Early this morning Pixar debuted the trailer for their Toy Story 3 movie on Yahoo and the official version went up on Trailer Addict. What we get is a new film with a returning cast (Tom Hanks as ' Woody,' Tim Allen as ' Buzz Lightyear') which is certainly good to hear. The plot is centered around the bitter-sweetness of growing up, and what happens to toys when their owners go off to college. If there was to be another film, then it makes sense that  this would be it. The film is directed by Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo) and the screenplay was written by Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine). The film will be released on June 18th, 2010 in 3D.

Are you looking forward to another Toy Story movie? If you simply can not get enough Toy Story, be sure to  check out the fantastic comic book series released by Boom! Studios written by Dan Jolley. If you are unsure about the issue, check out G-Man's review!

I've never been to see a Toy Story at the cinema before, I could make an exception for this one though. I like the direction they're taking it in.

Putting Andy in college was a little bit too much of a stretch. But still...

I absolutely loved those movies.  Hope this can live up to the first two.  Especially since Pixar seems to be the only Disney studio that is actually making really good movies...if you ignore Nemo and Cars.

I have enjoyed the previous two films, and I will probably enjoy this one if I ever end up seeing it. But learning of its existence doesn't excite me. The other day I learned of Lars von Trier's new project (scif-fi!!!) and that made me giddy.
I have no problem with aging except I fear for my inner child. Thank god for Miyazaki! He can still  truly amaze me.

I agree! So Andy goes off to college and the toys seemingly get abandoned. Not exactly a charming heart warming tale from the sounds of it. But it will be cool to see Toy Story again! My son really loves Buzz now...

It's kind of cool, I saw the first two and now I'm almost 18 and ol' Andy is going to college too!  It's like I grew up with Toy Story.
