My little girl is on a big Spider-Man and Mary Jane kick right now. She loved it when Mary Jane appeared in the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. I knew this comic would most likely not be quite appropriate for her age. She really doesn't need all the love/crush stuff at five years old. I do really like and admire Terry Moore so I thought I'd give it a try. I have read a couple of the Mary Jane Loves Spider-Man and they seemed fun.
I have to say that the first issue of Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane was also fun. Terry Moore is known for his character development. If you've ever read an issue of Strangers in Paradise, you'll know what I'm talking about. It was a brilliant choice to get him on this comic. I will be picking it up every month for sure. And Marvel is offering the first issue for free on Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited. How cool is that?
