I Really Dig This Series

How happy am I that Marvel's given me an early look at this comic?

I haven't heard a lot of people talking about this title.  I do have to say I have been enjoying it.  It is Mark Millar writing it and he's been on a roll.  I'm not 100% crazy about the art.  The story is enough to keep me with it.

In this issue, things are starting to make sense.  I know things have been a little weird in the first few and that may have turned some people off.  There hasn't been a lot of explanations so far.  That's what I've been enjoying.

There's also the fact that 1984 is when I started reading comics.  This is taking me back to where it mostly began for myself.  Of course I already knew about superheroes but this was when I got hooked.

I have been fascinated with the concept here.  We have a "real" world and suddenly comic book villains have been popping up.  We've seen some guy named Clyde Wyncham but he's not in a condition to talk.

There is also supposed to be a major bad guy involved.  From what I've heard, this will be the guy that Doctor Doom even takes orders from.  I've also heard that this series will have ties to Millar's current Fantastic Four and (Old Man) Wolverine runs.

I have to recommend this title.  Marvel's reprinting the first three issues so pick them up and give it a try.

I give it a 4.5 out of 5.
