Preacher Movie Gets A Writer

Hey all you Preacher fans, looks like the movie could be back on track.  Variety is reporting that John August is writing.  What has he done?  He's written the screenplay for "Corpse Bride," "Big Fish," "Charlie And The Chocolate Factor" and both "Charlie's Angels."  Sam Mendes will be direcrting.

There were originally plans to have Preacher as an HBO show but they canceled because it was "too dark and too violent and too controversial."  How will it be as a movie?  Let's hope Colombia will do the movie justice.
