Feast your eyes on the beauty that is Tim Burton's genius!

The first thought that comes to mind is, the colors! Based on the book by Lewis Carroll, Disney gives Tim Burton the reigns of their fantastic upcoming film. If you are looking for beautifully twisted adaptation of the piece (and occasional comic) then you are sure to be impressed because based on the trailer, Tim Burton certainly delivers! Courtesy of Spike TV, here is the new extended trailer for Tim Burton's 'Alice In Wonderland' film which is set to hit theaters and IMAX on March 5th, 2010. The film stars Johnny Depp who makes an incredible Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, and newcomer Mia Wasikowska (In Treatment). Are you looking forward to the film? Have you read Lewis Carroll's book, or perhaps the comic book adaptation?

It's been so long since I've read the stories, so I'm a b it unsure on what the stripe Rat Creature-esque monster is.  Or why the Mad Hatter looks SO much like Vivienne Westwood :p  Otherwise, I really do love the look of this, and can't wait to see it :)

Man, all I think about when I hear Alice in Wonderland is Alice in Sexland.

@Babs: I'm not sure.  At least, not the floating cheshire cat's head (that I recognise), but is it the cheshire cat that's white with black markings all over & roars at -00:12?  I don't really remember anything that roars in the books...

@xerox-kitty: Oh I thought you meant the floating head. Nope, I have no idea! Not the Walrus, right?

Remember this movie is based on Alice's return to Wonderland... this could be a new idea put in the movie

I don't know, I feel like I should have thought that was awesome, but something about it just bored me. And I'm tired of Johnny Depp in Tim Burton movies. Reeeaaally tired.

I don't want to watch the trailer because I don't want to be spoiled by anything.  I WILL see this movie.  Johnny Depp in Tim Burton movies, why the complaints?

Not crazy about Burton's renditions of classic material. Love his original stuff though. Also, I have a deep affection for the animated Disney version of Alice in Wonderland. I saw a lot of it in this trailer where I would have preferred fresh ideas. And find a new star, Tim. Johnny is a lunchbox now.

@Green Skin: I wondered that, but it's not at all how I'd imagined it to be... ah well, we'll see.
