As you know, I like looking at comics that aren't necessarily mainstream books.  Here is a book coming from entertainer, composer and comedian Mark O'Hara.  The book is called Moronica: Hard Rock Hyper Hero.  It deals with Maury, a frustrated Hollywood music clerk who discovers a magic microphone.  That microphone transforms him into MORONICA.
 
Moronica is a heavy metal maniac on a musical mission to eradicate Los Angeles of "desperate American Idol contestants, annoying Maroon 5 clones and brainless Paris Hilton posers."  He also finds himself facing other L.A. based undesirables like "gym freaks, industry suits, skinheads, stoned sufer dudes, pathetic geeks and mean old ladies."  How will he accomplish this task?  Moronica will use his totally tasteless tunes (like "Barfed In My  Backpack," "Big Boobed Babysitter," "Who Took A Dump In My Lunchbox" among others), his sonic microphone, explosive musical weaponry and his fabulous foul belch and fart powered bio-weapons system.  Cleary, this is not your typical comic book.
 
Other characters include Sphincter Boy (Moronica's sidekick), Double D (Delicious and Delectable, Moronica's girlfriends), Pinky Ballistic and more.
 
Mark O'Hara is a music producer, entertainer, composer and animator.  He is also the "lead instigator" for SuperBooty, San Francisco's wildest 15-piece funk party band as well as Macho Jackson, a tasty tribute to The King Of Pop.
