Not a whole lot has happened since the movie was officially announced. Part of the reason is due to negotiations between Sunrise and 20th Century Fox. Sunrise wants to maintain a decent amount of control in how the movie will turn out. They have said, "If the script is terrible, the live-action film adaption will not be approved."
Hopefully they will have some say in case the acting is terrible as well.

I'm wiling to give the dude a chance... but I swear, if it starts to look as bad as Dragonball Evolution does right now, I will never forgive him.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! OH SH!T! I didn't even read the article yet. Keanu reeves looks TERRIBLE! If I saw him like that, I'd assume he was a new age of crackhead.
It just looks like Keanu Reeves with bad hair... worse than in I Love You To Death :p

Well, he hasn't made a well received film since Matrix, so this could be good.

You know what, I'm going to go ahead and say that Keanu Reeves is a fine actor.
Not "great" (maybe not even particularly "good"), but not "awful". He's not too great with expressions and such, but it's not like you can't tell if he's angry or not or if he's acting in a certain way.
Or maybe my positive bias towards The Replacements and the Matrix is obscuring my judgement.

Keanu Reeves can play one character really well. It's just any time he tries to do anything else that he fails miserably. A Scanner Darkly and the Matrix were perfect roles for him.
I like Keanu Reeves as an actor I know he gets a lot of flack cause people say he is like the same character in every movie, but I disagree he is not the most versatile actor but I think he is a good actor. I've like a good amount of his movies.
Still the fact that fox is attached to this just makes me think it is going to suck.
