On July 29, we will get the final issue of Ultimatum. We'll finally get to see what will be left of the Ultimate Universe. Then in August we will see the debut of some new Ultimate comics. Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #1 and Ultimate Comics Avengers #1 both will be on sale August 12 followed by Ultimate Comics Armor Wars #1 on September 16. To help usher in these new titles, Marvel is debuting a new type of variant cover.
Prepare yourself for the FOILOGRAM cover. What exactly is a FOILOGRAM cover? Try to think back to the 90s (hopefully you won't have a bad flashback). A Foilogram cover will be part foil, part hologram. It is said that these "reflective covers will jump at you from shelves."
Marvel assures us that this will only be done on a limited basis. They plan to use them to mark 'very special' occasions. No word on if there will be a price difference. All three issues are listed with a $3.99 price tag. Hopefully you'll be able to find these cool-sounding covers at cover price.

Horrible, horrible idea. Man, wasn't a whole decade enough to live through the crap foil stuff that plagued comics and baseball cards?
