When studios release their teaser posters, the image is usually something really rad.  Something that makes you say, "Dang, that's a movie I'm itchin' to see."  There should be a lot of thought that goes into a teaser poster.  You need a strong image that is going to convey that desire to want to see the movie.  When there already is anticipation, a good teaser can just put that longing over the top.  You want to take advantage of the excitement and really deliver a powerful image that is just going to blow everyone away.

I'm sure we all agree that there is a lot of anticipation over Iron Man 2.  What appears to be the teaser has been revealed .

 

I think I'm a little speechless.  And not necessarily in a good way.  Apparently this teaser was shown at the Cinema Expo in Amsterdam this week.  Is this for realz?  I hate to say it doesn't really blow me away.  But then, does this movie really need a "blow you away" image?  We're all going to see it, no doubt.  What could the image be?  Another image of Iron Man suited up?  What would be really good is very small glimpse of War Machine , or better yet, Black Widow .  Perhaps they'll save those for later.  Studios have been good at released a ton of movie posters as the release date approaches.

Does this get you excited or disappointed?  Part of me feels like someone's playing a joke on me.  What would be your ideal teaser poster?
