A few years ago, the criminal The Red Hood turned out to be an ex-Robin, Jason Todd, the Robin that was beaten to death by Joker with a crowbar. It was a shock to most, since many people voted to kill Jason Todd off in the 80s. Although it was vaguely explained in the Batman run, there's a lot of details missing, like "How did he become the Red Hood?" DC comics is prepared to answer that now.

Writer Judd Winick and artist Pablo Raimondi hope to answer that question in June, with the debut of RED HOOD: THE LOST DAYS, a six-issue mini-series revealing the untold story of the man behind the Red Hood. It’s the tale of an angry young man’s transformation into a deadly villain.

We'll finally know how the boy who tried to steal the tires from the Batmobile became a formidable Batman villain. We got a peak into Todd's history during the Under The Hood storyline in Batman, (Issues 635-638) and now we're going to find out how it all went down. All the questions should be answered. Judd Winick explained why he's so intrigued to do this story.

“I’m thrilled to return to this character, and it’s both a joy and challenge to tackle this new story. LOST DAYS tracks the time from the Red Hood’s rebirth to his return to Gotham. In it, we get to understand this anti-hero in a new way. I think it explains both how he’s sympathetic, and an unrepentant monster. He’s a wonderfully complex character, and I hope this adds some even greater depth to his mythology.”

The first two issues will hit before the release of Batman: Under The Hood DVD to get everyone pumped about the feature film. Get ready for June because this could be a blast!
