ok my question is should he even be aware of this himself I was under the impression Mephisto's magic made everyone including himself forget the unmasking and I'm curious as to why he thought it was so important to tell the Avengers and not the FF I'd rather tell four people my secret than 8
He also mentions (not sure how he would know) that once he told the person his identity (or removed his mask) all the memories from before would come rushing back.
This is probably one of the most important Spider-Man comics since Brand New Day started. I'm curious what Mary Jane was trying to tell him on the phone.
He should pull his mask off at party's, that'll totally be a conversation starter.

Haven't read the issue but I'm betting Sue Storm has something to do with his head missing. And didnt Spiderman already unmask again in one of the Avenger titles?

Cause they both are going in opposite directions. Spider-Man said he couldn't reveal himself to the F4 cause what happens if they get controlled. Yet in New Avengers it was reveal yourself or quit. So he decides revealing himself is less important?! Also when he did reveal himself to the team, they didn't have all these memories "rush" back. Jessica Jones acted like this was the first time she ever knew Spider-Man.

but yeah this is confusing but it obvious to me that a powerful sinister force is behind this and it possibly a world wide mind wipe im thinking and your on to something with mephisto being responsible but why?

It shouldn't be that hard. Just hold a meeting and say, "Hey this is how it works. So if you write about it, do it this way." Pretty simple.
I haven't read any of the stuff yet, but as long as they try to explain themselves and make it work, it'll probably make less people hate the retcon.

JQ has stated that one two things ever changed. The first one is obviously the marriage, and the second one hasn't been revealed yet. But other than that every story arc has still happened. He still unmasked himself, still went through the other, had to fight the Stacy Twins, etc. It all still happened.
Man this is getting so confusing I'm losing track on what changed and what didn't but if everything is still the same than why doesn't he have his new powers?
They never said why. Maybe they "burned out", who knows. I didn't like the extra powers anyways.
