Colombia apparently has finally decided to start revving up the production on a sequel. It's hard to believe the first came out almost exactly two years ago. This news comes from Bloody Disgusting. I haven't heard any "official" word but who would want to make this up? They're also reporting that Ghost Rider will be going against Blackheart this time. Cage is set to become Ghost Rider once again aw well. I know I should get around to watching the first. I promise I will before this one comes out.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to a sequel?

Im amazed they'd consider making another one. I watched the 1st ten minutes of Ghost Rider and then turned it off :(
im a big GR fan but the movie was not up 2 it, i think they need 2 make it a bit less kid friendly 2 make it work and i want them 2 explore his powers more stuff like hell fire blasts and stuff also i would like 2 see Dan Ketch 1 day but just what i think.

The first Ghost Rider was one of the worst movies I have ever seen (and I've seen a LOT of movies). I'm don't agree with reboots too much, but it's too early (and the first was too bad) for a sequel. Wait six, eight more years or so and then do a reboot and hope everyone forgot about the first.

Not my favorite... don't really looking forward to it.. I really dislike Cage.
Hell Yes ! I could go for it... and screw the fact that the first Ghost Rider movie wasnt that good... I recall the 2003 Hulk movie to sort of sucking too... but look how they made a comeback with The Incredible Hulk in 2008... Marvel Studios has been on a roll lately with Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk... hell even The Punsher - War Zone was a good movie ( it sure as hell was better than Transporter 3... lol )... so I expect good things from the Ghost Rider 2 film
The movie wasn't that great, but it also wasn't really bad. Nic Cage is annoying, and I wish they'd have used a different actor for Johnny Blaze. The redeeming bits of the movie were the FX and the usage of villains from the comic series, and also Sam Elliot is in it. If you like Sam Elliot, then at least watch it for him. Again, GR was better than the first Hulk and Daredevil movies. Maybe they will do a better job on the second one. MAYBE.
I didn't like the idea of Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider but I actually loved the first movie, of course I watched it as a movie, not as a "Ghost Rider" movie because I don't like Ghost Rider the character, solves my problems :D
The theatrical version of the first was terrible... the DVD version with the cut scenes was actually half decent though. When you do get around to watching it, make sure you watch the DVD version.
Regardless, I will be looking forward to the second film, the special effects in the first were pretty rad, so I'd see the second just for that if nothing else.

Oh dear god.... this was one of the worst films i have ever seen... and it grossed NOTHING i thought... maybe im wrong and they think its worth making another of this clap trap

im a massive Ghost Rider fan but im still note sure about Nick Cage as Johnny Blaze, but the way marvel been making their films lately has been very good especially the hulk film which was also a re-vamp and sequel so i think it would be good, i would also like 2 see Danny ketch soon.

I hated it but it made a boatload of money. So Marvel being Marvel, of course they'll make another one even if it turns out to be another FF2 and kills the franchise.
Here's hoping they get a better director this time around.
I liked the first one, I'd be up for seeing a second. Just as long as if they do have Blackheart in it again, they go the traditional way, the rating is R and they make his lines less cheesy.
I think in Ghost Rider they should either have vengeance or blackheart in his true form (muscular black body, quills on head etc.)
Coming from a Ghost Rider fan, the first one pretty much sucked... although it was enjoyable for what it was. I'd love a sequel though, and I hope they do a better job.
