The full list of nominees and winners from Saturday's event

Each year for the last five years the Harvey Awards have been held at the Baltimore Comic Convention to honor comic book industry professionals. The awards are the only in the industry both nominated and selected by and for professionals. It must truly be an incredible feeling to know that something you worked so hard to create, is not only published; but also recognized by the rest of the industry as being worthy enough for a Harvey award nomination. While Comic Vine unfortunately was not able to cover the big event like we had hoped, we still want to take a moment to congratulate all of the nominees and the winners of this years Harvey Awards which were held at the Baltimore Comic Con. The winners are highlighted in bold. Congratulations to all those that were recognized.

Of the list below, who do you feel was most deserving of an award? Was there anyone that was nominated that you thought should have won and did not?

I don't believe I've heard of this awards before. Judging from the description. It makes me think of the SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Awards. I'm not familiar with a lot of these. Guess I need to read more.

I saw this on the Vertigo Blog website, admittedly the only two winners I've read before are the Vertigo ones (Cover Artist, Best Single Issue or Story) though I plan to read Umbrella Academy, it looks interesting and has a lot of hype (outside of the mainstream)

Nice of them to be giving out awards.

The guys at the shop were telling me to check out Fables and Umbrella Academy.  UA is the one that Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance does, I believe.  That kind of scares me away a little, but if it's really that good...

Also, cool to see All-Star Superman win some stuff, but I think it really should've nailed artist more than writing.  Morrison did a good job on the run, but to win over Brubaker's Cap?  That's rough.

Also also, no love for any Icon or Archaia work.  =  (

I've been curious about Nat Turner as well.  Anyone have some words to say about that one?

It's their award. They give it to whomever they want.
