Discover The Secret History of The Sentry!

It seems a lot of people just want to put down or bash Sentry.  I think he suffers from the Superman syndrome.  He gets the abuse too.  People are very vocal in their dislike but I don't often see a valid reason for the hatred.  Everyone's entitled to their opinion but there's rarely an explanation.

Sentry is a very powerful character (like Superman).  I do think he's suffered a little in the character development.  There's also the fact that he's a little screwy in the head.  That's what makes him a little more unique.  Who wants a hero that can wipe out all the villains on a whim?  While it was cool what Sentry did to Carnage, it was over so quickly. 

I also like the look of this series.  It has that golden age feel to it.  Before you decide to not give it a second thought, I'm curious if you've read the old books.  Are they cheesey?  Most often, yes.  But a lot of them were simple and fun.  Fun being the important factor.  I like to be entertained and enjoy a good comic story.  Who wants to walk away feeling bummed out?  I'm looking forward to this book.
