After Monday's exciting news about Archaia Comics' deal with The Jim Henson Company, I simply had to contact Archaia Director of Development, Stephen Christy for an interview to find out more about the big deal! Mr. Christy was nice enough to take some time out of his busy schedule to talk to me about the Fraggles deal, among many other things! Looks to me like Archaia is on the rise and has a whole lot of awesome deals on their horizon. Check out the interview and let me know what you think! Are you looking forward to the Fraggles comic book? Have any of you guys read Mouse Guard? What do you think of Mouse Guard making it to the big screen?

Thanks again to Stephen Christy and the folks at Archaia Comics for making the interview a reality! Sit back, relax and enjoy!

They did, from Star Comics (Marvel's imprint for televised kiddies shows), but to be honest I doubt the quality of those will come anywhere near what Archaia has planned.

@Babs:
 Mr Christy sounds really friendly & ever so enthusiastic about this.  There definitely is a lot of love for the Fraggles (and who can blame them).  Did he say that they wont be direct adaptations of Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, et al??  So these will be new stories??  I know there was a Labyrinth manga sequel, but I never picked it up since it was based around Toby many years in the future & the art didn't appeal to me.  But this... I'm looking forward to what Archaia will do :)

All I can remember about the Fraggles was that I liked it when I was little. I might check it out. I would definitely get a Dark Crystal book if it came out.

A great interview.  Thinking of Fraggles brings back some nice memories.  Haven't heard too much about Mouse Guard altough the character representation reminds me in part of the animals used by Neil Gaiman within a Sandman issue.   Off to find out about Mouse Guard.
