If I had to guess, I would probably say that the story might take place prior to her parent's murder and may possibly explain the meaning behind it. Why were her parents brutally killed? How did it help to develop her character as a whole? Did it make her stronger? I personally tend to enjoy it any time a creative team wants to take an established character and to delve into their back story and psychology. What about you?
