The Gang's All Here

Things are really heating up in this issue, or at least getting ready to once Glorianna Silver arrives with the Ember Stone.  It amazed me at all the characters that were popping up here.  In a way that scares me too as the story may end with someone dying.  I have my theories but I'll keep them to myself.

Jackie arrives in New York and pays a visit to his 'daughter.'  I felt that was a nice touch.  There's no reason he wouldn't want to see her and I'm glad we got to witness it.  Jackie also has a run in with Finn, who was transformed last issue.  We are about to see the conflict between fire and ice and it should be interesting to see if the others take sides.  Will Jackie side with Finn?  Which side will Sara choose?  Then again, the wielder of the Ember Stone may have plans of her own.

Marz and Sejic (along with Phil Hester) continue to do an amazing job.  This is what I want to see in a comic.  Gorgeous art along with a compelling story that keeps pulling you in.  Marz has made me care about these characters again.  The idea of someone dying actually matters to me.  I have a feeling the Top Cow universe isn't going to be the same after this storyline.
