Marvel's announced that Deadpool #16 has sold out at Diamond (copies might still be available at your local comic shop). A second printing variant will be released on November 25, 2009.
Daniel Way and Paco Medina keep the laughs coming as Deadpool is cordially invited to join...the X-Men? That makes as much sense as a "swimming pool full of pancakes." How does Deadpool respond to Cyclops invitation? Pick up the issue to find out (if you haven't already).

I went to my local comic shop an there were only two copies left.
This book has been consistently good since it's launch, I like Daniel Way's take on DP quite a bit, even the much griped about T-Bolts arc was good to me, how can you not enjoy DP teleporting in behind Norman Osborn while he's on TV holding a sign that says "LOL Respawn" after Norman thought he was toast?
Not to mention Paco Medina is absolutely fantastic on this book, he was born to draw Deadpool.
Back to this issue, these last couple have been more serious fare as DP has been examining his own motivations and his purpose in life, but it's been a fun experience to not see DP wise cracking every panel, although there's still plenty of that. Not to mention seeing the various members of the X-Men reacting to him wanting to join up.
And yes, the pancakes were awesome too.
I LOVED where Cyclops and Wolverine look at each other after Dagger asks "What's wrong with the guy?" and they just turn around and both say "EVERYTHING." XD XD
And who DOESN'T love the smell of over 300,000 pancakes in the morning? (I can't remember the exact number. lol)
There are easier ways to get 300,000 pancakes ,He could have just held up an IHOP. That's a lot of syrup

@aztek the lost: But who wants to get stuck with extra copies? I'm sure most comic shops don't. I imagine they order their set amount for the regular customers plus some extra for those that come in "off the streets." What I think keeps happening is more people are picking it up each month. Deadpool's fame is getting bigger and bigger these days.
Way is doing a really good job with Deadpool. I don't think Merc With A Mouth is that popular...
@G-Man: Sounds like Wolverine's domination of the 90's and 00's is coming to an end and Deadpool plans to take his place for the dawn of a new decade. Won't be long before he's got half a dozen solo series' and a couple more titles starring him as a regular guest :D

Really, Cyclops isn't in a good position. You either give Deadpool something to do, or turn him away. Neither is the best choice. Sort of like what Murdock is currently facing. Just not as funny.

@G-Man: actually it was in a thread about that on this site where I first made the comment about Deadpool becoming the next Wolverine...I mean sure he'll have more fans then ever before with all this popularity but the original fans will probably begin to lose interest after he's just become a marketing ploy and the real character has disappeared
It won't be long before whenever any kid here's the word "Marvel", "X-Men", "Brotherhood of Evil Mutants", "Avengers", "Defenders", "Fantastic Four", "Celestials" or anything in between, the first word that will follow in their head will be "Deadpool".
I personally was on the verge of joining the Deadpool fad until I realized it was just that, a fad, now it's too late for me to become a Deadpool fanboy.
