I decided to go with a new, slightly unconventional comic book to review today. Boom Studios recently released a comic entitled 'Dead Run,' which is about a courier named Nick Masters who has to travel from Los Angeles to San Francisco in order to deliver a package. The comic seems to be set in the future, and it's kind of got a sci-fi feel. It's really cool and I thought it was worth discussing! Something new and different. The second issue came out today, and if you picked it up, you'll have to let me know if you liked it as much as I did!

its pretty cool you guys review issues from the smaller publishers....has certainly gotten me to pay attention to books i would have probably passed by

What's good about this one in particular is that the series just started...that's why I picked to review it. It was good, and if it peaked anyone's interest I figured it would be easy to start reading since today they released the second issue. I would really love to hear what you all think of the comic once you've read it! However, to prevent you all from going broke, I should probably start doing some bad reviews. Ha!

Companies like Marvel release like, 40 books at a time. Half of which aren't even that great. The really special thing about some of these smaller publishing companies is that their editors allow them to really delve into what they want...the creators have more creative liberty, and I feel that's really important.
Lol If I didn't have a staunch Marvel only rule you guys would be the death of me!

it sounds really cool, the story makes me think of movies like mad max and waterworld (without the water) of a post apocalyptic world, with the smokers and bandids and everyone has turned against each other.
it also reminds me of the gipsy comic he's this who also delivers packages on this big dangerous highway connected over the whole world.
I picked up the 1st issue when it was released last month because I love all things post apocalyptic but I got to give you props Babs for repping the indy scene. Kinda surprised to see reviews on here that dont involve Deadpool, Wolverine, or Batman. You should review some Avatar stuff like Crossed, No Hero, or Ignition City. Keep it up this was good.
