Batman - The Brave & The Bold: "The Siege of Starro, Part 1"

The Starro invasion has begun. Can Batman put a stop to it before it's too late?

 Remember when this happened?
 Remember when this happened?
Finally! Not only is Batman: The Brave and the Bold returning Friday, September 17 (on Cartoon Network at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT) but we're also getting to see the Starro Invasion. With "The Siege of Starro, Part 1," the series picks up on a story thread that first began in episode 29, "Revenge of the Reach" that aired back on January 1, 2010.

As you probably know, each episode (usually) begins with a "teaser" portion, a short adventure featuring Batman and another hero. It was in some teaser portions that the Starro invasion began. It continued in the episode 33, "Clash of the Metal Men" where Aquaman and others were overtaken by Starro clones. Now finally we'll see what happens next.

Led by Faceless Hunter, the Starro Invasion comes on full swing. Only Batman and a handful of unlikely heroes remain uninfected to thwart the alien parasites and their mind-controlled hosts before all of Earth is sucked dry.

Here is a video clip provided by Warner Bros. Entertainment.

Usually, I hate this show. But I feel the temptation setting in. So far, the only episode I really liked was "The Chill of the Night". I remain skeptical.

Darkmount1on Sept. 7, 2010 at 10:18 p.m.
I saw the opening narration of the "hero history" for this episode. Look for appearances by Anthro, Cinnamon, Space Ranger, Captain Comet, and Ultra the Multi-Alien.

But when will we see the next episodes, the ones after the Starro and Flash episodes (the ones that haven't aired in Canada)?
In, like, 3 weeks?

this took long enough, I feared they had canceled it!
Aquamarineron Sept. 8, 2010 at 10:40 a.m.
Part one of this isn't that bad, but part 2 with the giant starro humanoid? meh. Also, out of all the characters they could've focused on, they choose Bwana Beast?

But, it's not half bad.
Doctor!!!!!on Sept. 8, 2010 at 10:54 a.m.

I already saw it.
Bwana Beast Dies......

I tried to watch to watch this show as I have enjoyed the other Batman animated shows over the last 20 years but this show is just horrible. Its not the animation which is fine or even the voice acting, again also fine its the stupid campy plots and the horrible
characterizations of the various characters. I know this show is suppose to show Batman and other heroes perhaps from a more simple time but this is just bad. Perhaps after seeing one of the best Batman animated films that DC has ever produced in
"Batman: Under the Red Hood" I find this to be a sub-par effort. Let me just say I am a huge fan of animation from both from Asia and North America and am generally accepting of changes made to characters to fit the production. This show however just
disgusts me with its over the top campy nature and bad plots. I suppose this is another marketing hook to get kids interested in Batman, but I think DC can do better than this.
