Because we are...

It is the start of the convention season, and we here at the Comic Vine office are pretty stoked for this weekend. Why, you may ask? Wonder Con, of course! Each year in April the same folks that bring Comic Con International to San Diego, bring Wonder Con to San Francisco. Lucky for us, our offices are right over the Golden Gate Bridge, so we will be bringing you coverage from the convention floor. You like panels but never get to go? We'll give you the inside info on the panel presentations at the conventions. This weekend Tony and I will be spending both Friday and Saturday at the con, which means that our regularly scheduled Friday broadcasts may not happen. Fear not though for what we have in store as far as interviews and booth tours go is a lot cooler than listening to Tony and I blab for an hour! If you are going to be at Wonder Con this weekend, please let us know because we would love to meet you guys! If you are not going to be there, please be sure to check the Wonder Con panel schedule and let us know what you would like us to cover

Additionally, we plan on attending two big events both Friday and Saturday night after the convention, so if you are in town, you should definitely meet us there!
This Friday, Comic Vine will be present at The Comic Outpost in San Francisco for a special benefit event celebrating heralded comic book creator Ed Hannigan.

Tickets for this event will be sold on a sliding scale. Ed Hannigan, who is suffering from multiple sclerosis, will receive a portion of the proceeds of all ticket sales above $20. Those who donate $35 or more will receive a special gift bag courtesy of the Cartoon Art Museum. A silent auction will be held at the party, and all proceeds from the auction will go directly Hannigan.

The event is for a good cause, so if you are going to the convention then you should definitely stop by. Not enough of a good time for you? Well then you will be happy to know that we are making plans for Saturday, too! This Saturday we will be at Isotope Comics to celebrate Jonah Hex with Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner and Darwyn Cooke. We are definitely looking forward to the event, and we look forward to seeing you there! Remember to take a look at the lit of creators that are scheduled to appear as well as the list of panels. Let us know what you want us to cover so we can better provide content that YOU want to see!
