NYCC 2012: Cosplay Gallery

Posted by G-Man (36770 posts) - - Show Bio

New York Comic Con 2012 has ended...but the fun is not over yet. We still have some more content coming up. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled. Of course it's not a comic convention without a Cosplay gallery.

You might have noticed that the Cosplay images have already been added to the site. We decided to do it a little differently. Since we have a New York Comic Con 2012 page, we figured the images should just go in that gallery to make it easy to find at any time.

Here's a sample of what you can see:

Wow, that lady in the second picture from the left is one brave woman. That's a small outfit. Mind you, I'm in no way complaining. It's a nice Phoenix Five Emma Frost.

Not sure how I feel about putting pants on a dog. What if the poor animal needs to go to the bathroom. I know you don't want them going in the convention center, but how are they going to tell you when they need it?

It's a great idea putting all the images in a gallery such as that. The previous way it was so hard to keep track of images you've seen previously.

First of all, that Phoenix Five Emma Frost cosplayer...

If anyone ever broke up with her, they'd be freaking out of it.

And secondly, 300 pictures?...I'm gonna be here for a while.

@RedheadedAtrocitus:

She wasn't the only Phoenix Five Emma Frost I saw in the gallery. One with an equally daring costume. However, not sure she really sells it as well as this Emma cosplayer. I would almost think she's a booth girl hired by Marvel.

Who knew this would be such a popular convention costume.

My favourite part of Comic Con coverage is seeing all the awesome costumes. That Devil May Cry 3 Dante looks pretty awesome, I so want that jacket.

If you're not Linda Le then you should kind of stop trying.

I just hate how she's Asian and her Batgirl cosplay was Babs Gordon. Should've been Cassie.

Hello Emma...

I just wanted to add this one. He looked like G-Man (Ha!).

Oh, and I took a pic with that Nightwing, She was really nice and sexy.

@ARMIV2 I should've had more. I was taking them between shooting videos. By Sunday, I started getting a little beat and only took sixty-something that day. I really wish I'd done more.

Someone should go as G-Man. Imagine the hijinx.

Why what?

Obviously people shouldn't literally stop cosplaying if they're not Linda Le. It was more an exaggerative nod toward her cosplaying excellence (Despite her being one of those people who probably hasn't read comics regularly ever, based on things I've seen her say. She's a total poser).

As for the rest. Well, because there's an Asian Batgirl? The best Batgirl?

I liked the Medusa, I didn't even see the strings on her fingers at first and was trying to figure out how her hair supported itself. I like to see creativity like that in cosplay, I wish there was a number above all of their heads totaling the amount of time they all put into their costumes. A lot of people are really passionate about what they wear to the Cons and I think they should be recognized for it. I'd love to do it myself one day but I don't think I could set aside the sufficient time and effort to make a worthwhile costume.

camel toe cough....

#20 Posted by Faeye (49 posts) - - Show Bio

@Cavemold: Technically not. Camel toe is when you can see the outline of her body underneath, that just looks like a fold due to improper tailoring and excess material getting bunched up in an inconvenient location ^_^

Some of the pictures, even the ones from the gallery that I open, seem to get static when I open them. Is that happening for anyone else?

#25 Posted by feargalr (1166 posts) - - Show Bio
