Yeah it was good.  A lot happened.  It was a good set up for things to come.  It's interesting how Frontline is going to play a bigger part now.  That was classic.  My only slight problem is John Romita Jr's art.  It's good and I respect him and all.  He's just not my absolute favorite artist.  He has evolved and grown as an artist though.

I got a hunch it could be Eddie Brock seeing how Gargan still has the original symbiote.

I think it will be. I like JRJR in this though.

I used to not be able to stand his art.  Too many lines and rough edges.  Sometimes the women looked like they had facial hair or something.  He has gotten a lot better.  I'm not trying to put him down or anything.  He has grown on me.  Like in Kick-Ass, his style really works.  I used to groan when I say he was on a book but now I don't even give it a second thought.

Yes he is good. I wasn't expecting a sell out for the book, since so many people complain about it!  Thats good.

Paranoid speculation time: theory 1. anti-venom is working for the thunder bolts then that makes him spidermans enemy who is working with Venom? 2. Anti-venom hates and wants to kill venom and spiderman so is working solo? 3. Anti-venom looks like a symbiote host but we don't know for sure...

Jason asks: "Steve, I am a big MJ fan. I loved the marriage but I am sticking with the comic because I love spidey. Past writers have seemed to struggle with how to portray MJ. How do you see MJ in BND and will she be a more complex character?

Wacker: I find MJ to be a pretty rich character and definitely one of the most interesting civilian characters in comics. For much of the character's existence we only really got to know her through the connections with the men in her life and whatever sexy outfit she wore that day.

However, JMS in his run really spent some time fleshing her out and expanding on her career as an actress and letting us see some of the things that drove her. I loved what was done with her think there's even more to be done in that direction.

Vlaz asks: "My question is simple, and is really just a Yes or No. At the end of One More Day, Mary Jane whispered something to Mephisto. Will that secret conversation ever be revealed?"

Wacker: Sorry. Can't give you a simple answer. You may want to read Marvel Apes #1.*

Tony asked about 500 questions, but one stood out: "Will there be a new Sinister Six?"

Wacker: Not even close.

Pablo has a comment: "As a fan of the slightly more mature and wiser Peter Parker that was portrayed so well by JMS, Paul Jenkins, and others over the last few years, my main problem with BND so far has been Peter's immaturity and endless streak of bad decisions. It sometimes feels like I am reading about a rookie superhero in the Initiative instead of the superhero Steve Rogers once thought so highly of and trusted with his life."

Rob adds: "I'm feeling that Spidey's being portrayed as a bit of a doofus in order to inject a sense of playfulness and fun into the book. I don't need Spidey to be a flawless, square-jawed, dare-I-say-it DC Comics type of superhero. But I do want him to be good at his calling. And then, despite the fact that he saves the day, the Parker Luck intervenes to prevent him from reaping the rewards."

Brevoort: Pablo, Rob, I don't disagree, except that I think that's what we've been doing. I don't feel we've been characterizing either Pete or Spidey as a doofus, or inexperienced, or incompetent. But it's absolutely in character for Peter Parker to make bad choices, in my opinion, either because the needs of the moment outweigh his better judgment, or because in trying to balance his Spidey life with his regular life he's forced to make compromises.
