Will he be something like a mentor? Isn't he the oldest? Quite excited to see what Yost will deliver. Pretty confident it'll be at least very interesting. What do you think?

Kaine actually isn't confirmed as being in New Warriors. Scarlet Spider will be, but apparently Yost has been saying that that doesn't mean it will be Kaine (even though it totally will be).

As for his role in the team, I expect to see him as the cynical one. I don't think he'll be the leader either, that'll be Justice most likely, probably more the team's stealth expert. I love Yost's writing so I'll be giving this a shot.

@raggedscarecrow: Actually it is confirmed. If you read Scarlet Spider #24 and #25 (especially the last one), you'll see Kaine is supposed to join the team. Furthermore, there are many new warriors related sites/posts that clarify Kaine is in the team. For example:

I agree with you. He won't be the leader. I think he'll be some kind of a protector or a (in a strange way) mentor. Don't know. We'll see!

@phaedrusgr: probably more the protector thing. Speedy and Justice fits the role as mentors better.

@phaedrusgr: Ahhh, I've been tradewaiting Scarlet Spider so I don't actually know how it ends yet. It'll bee interesting to see Kaine and Speedball interact. I see the two of them as being very similar, so it'll be interesting if they hate each other or have a common respect for the troubles they've gone through.

@phaedrusgr: He's about the same age as Justice, I mean Ben was a member of the New Warriors back in the day as well.

@waezi2: Yes he is, Vance was a teacher and everything, he's in his mid 20s

I think he'll be an outsider and protector.

@waezi2: Kind of. I mean he's not going to try and kill his enemies but I don't think he'll have any qualms about severly injuring them. Or if you want a past team comparison. I see Justice saying It's Night-thrasher all over again. LOL
