I love the New Warriors.I wasn't such a big fan after the Stanford incident but I have recently become a fan again and with good reason. New Warriors #15 is exactly what I have been waiting for..for the New Warriors and the Old New Warriors (Counter Force) together as one taking out some frustrations on the some skrulls. I'm glad the New Warriors are involved in he Secret Invasion as I am about the Initiative. These big battles are what big events are for.
Lately Night Thrasher has been pretty distant and apparently he has something he is keeping from the team,he also finally revealed to Vance that he isn't Dwayne but his younger brother Donyell..Maybe if he had done that sooner, they could have avoided that fight before they go into it with the skrulls. So with all that now it become apparent that Donyell is looking into the fishiness behind the Stamford incident and the skrull invasion and he's trying to tie it all together and get some piece of mind.So we can be sure that down the road something big is going to be revealed regarding the New Warriors.Donyell could be looking in one place for skrulls when they are right under his nose..hey maybe Jubes is a skrull, you never know.
I loved seeing the New Warriors together, old and new and this was a really exciting and action packed book. The only thing that bothers me is Justice seemed to have just given the New Warriors away even though he admitted to not liking the idea of the New Warriors existing without the original members. The art wasn't very good but the action was projected well so I didn't mind much.

There seems to be something keeping the New Warriors down. Something just doesn't work with me. Their involvement in the Secret Invasion brings some interesting questions. In the preview Night Thrasher is seen to finally reveal himself as Dwayne's younger brother to his teammates. It's about time I guess. He is still keeping secrets from them. That makes it hard to be an effective leader.
The question that arises from this tie-in is, could the New Warriors at Stamford have been Skrulls? That's actually a really good question. I did find the New Warriors mini-series with the team running a reality show just a bit out of character. These are the things that Donyell brings to everyone's attention. Amidst the war, they make their way to discover the answer to that question. Will they find out right away? Seems like something Marvel wouldn't want to reveal right away. I will say that an answer is given but is it the true answer? It still seems that there are those that still can't be trusted.
It's always great seeing these characters together. I did find myself being more interested in the Counter Force team instead. Hopefully we'll see more of them. I do have to say that the art fell a little flat with me. Because of that I have to knock it down half a star. Overall a decent issue. It was cool to see the SHIELD helicarrier after the run-in with the Jarvis Skrull and Maria Hill.
