Chronicles of a suicide
I don't expect much from the Suicide Squad title. It just has to be entertaining, just like Secret Six. You're basically following a group of villains, with which you share very little and of whom you understand even less. So when I picked the New Suicide Squad, I was simply looking for a fun read, something that would put the fun back into villains, a light read not unlike some Birds of Prey, or the last Secret Six run. Unfortunately, there is very little fun in this title. The cover art is simply abominable, the dialogue is quite dull, the story lacks all the ingredients of a good one and every little twist is too predictable to be enjoyed. And to top it up, Amanda Waller looks like Naomi Campbell, and the two girls in the squad are all boobs and no brains. Unless the crew pick themselves up very quickly, I won't give them another penny.
