Firestar
is a comic volume from Marvel Publishing that started in 1986
This is the limited four-issue series of Firestar who originally appeared in the Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends animated series. It's a prequel which depicts events before and after Firestar's first in-continuity appearance in Uncanny X-Men #193. This mini-series sets a much darker approach than the animated series which tells the story of her sad upbringing and how she first discovers her mutant powers. The X-Men is suppose to recruit her into the Institute but they were too late when Emma Frost (aka The White Queen) got to her first.
In 2006, the series was compiled into one digest-sized paperback titled X-Men: Firestar (ISBN 0785122001).
