Magik reunites the New Mutants to save their former selves! But wait—isn’t Magik dead?
In the past: In Limbo, the New Mutants trounce demons. Illyana Rasputin confronts S'ym, slays him with her Soulsword, and renounces Limbo. But a mysterious cloaked stranger implores her to go with him. Illyana falls unconscious, and Dani Moonstar yells for Kitty Pryde to end this Danger Room session. Illyana revives, disturbed by the visitor from her future.
That night the mansion has a blackout, and with no TV, Illyana suggests the team play “Truth or Dare." After playing for a while, Roberto dares Illyana to face her future. She accepts on the condition they all go with her.
In the present: Sam Guthrie, Roberto DaCosta, Dani, and Shan Coy Manh meet Rahne Sinclair at . Douglock also arrives, having stowed away. They return to the mansion, realize there are intruders, and are shocked to confront their younger selves.
Douglock blurts out that Illyana is dead. Upset, she ports away, and meets the mysterious stranger, who reveals himself as her brother Mikhail.
