    New Mutants Issue 17 Review

I was really excited to read this issue... and I was some what satisfied (but then again any new mutants comic would satisfy me.)

The beginning of the Issue was pointless in my eyes. Did we really need to know the build up to why Sam and Dani kissed? UH no... We knew they were drinking and stuff like that HAPPENS. The build up to that wasn't needed and I think was just added to fill up some pages.

Illyana going all demon b*** is always great, I like how her "darkchild" comes out and she doesn't give a rats ass what Sam says even though he's leader. I think the part where it showed "two weeks later" was a tad bit rushed, I was sort of confused at first to what was happening At first especially in the picture where they blow up the military base and Sunspot is all scruffy and doesn't have his uniform on... awkward :s
I enjoyed seeing Pixie, we got her wear about's and we understand why the "bad guys" need her.

We're all used to seeing Illyana as invisible especially when she's in Limbo and when this "Toko" biotch steals her Soul Sword, as shocked as I was it was nice to see the drawers draw that same "shocking" response in Illyana's face. This face was OKAY.
NOT the best I still want to learn more about these babies and understand why they're listening to these military guys especially if they're powerful to take down Illyana i'm sure they can stand on their own...

    Verdict: 4/5
I'm being generous because I'm a new mutants fan, and I got to see my Illyana get all demon-girl, but I better see more action and build up with what's going on in the next Issue!

The New Mutants follow Magik for another jaunt into Limbo - - this time to save Illyana's old rival Pixie - - but, this time, they're facing the formidable threat of all the hellions who've been raised there.  The Good This issue's just filled with so many goods scenes and little moments - - Cannonball and Moonstar's sexual tension kissing game, the roughnecks' rather blunt approach to magic-induced hallucinations, Cypher's on-the-spot translations for the demon speak.  This is a book that just ...

The New Mutants travel to Limbo in search of an abducted Pixie, and encounter Project Purgatory's solution to demonic menaces to Earth-616, a ten-mutant strike force known as the Inferno Babies.    The Good  The entire issue is fulfilled with suspense, action, and intrigue, as the New Mutants encounter the infants that they had rescued years before during the events of Inferno. I really enjoyed the art by Leonard Kirk in this issue. He did a good job of visualizing Limbo, and the demonic inhabit...
