Finally we will get to see what has become of Clint Barton. In Dark Reign - The List: Avengers, we saw Clint kick the Dark Avengers butt...until he was taken out. Now that he is in Norman's custody, how long can he survive? It turns out that the mightiest women of the Avengers will be trying to rescue him.

Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mike Mayhew present the team of Jessica Jones, Spider-Woman, Mockingbird and Ms Marvel on a quest to save their captured comrade. Will they succeed or is Norman using Clint as bait? The answer will be in New Avengers Annual #3 on sale December 2, 2009. Rated T+ with a $4.99 price tag.

I don't mind the art, think it'll be interesting but why is it only the girls from the New Avengers going after him? Cap, Spidey and Wolverine are busy? It mighta been more interesting if they brought in some other Avenger women, at least ones that Clint has history with. How awesome would it be if Tigra and She-Hulk were in on this too?

I actually like the art its different and refreshing. Especially the second pic it almost looks like it belongs on a wall somewhere.

And the look in his eyes, he's gonna go all Ultimate on their asses and kill them with his finger nails :)

The art looks pretty good...at least I like it anyway. I've been diggin' Bendis' New Avengers...but in the trade paperbacks. It's just outside of what I can afford as a monthly. I'll probably wait for this to be collected in the next trade...

I think Ms. Marvel/Moonstone is giving Clint a look-over and likes what she sees Clint Barton has to offer on the chair. Norman Osborn looks awfully young, that's the only minor criticism I have. Nonetheless, the art is impressive.

So the "real" Hawkeye put a hurting on the Dark Avengers by himself? Hm. Cool.

@Anderson: Agent of SMITH: The kidnapping of Luke Cage either happened before or after the rescue of Clint. Ronan was present when Luke Cage got captured and Luke Cage was present when Ronan got captured. I'm just not sure which one was supposed to happen first.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Luke Cage (possibly Iron Fist too) could defect over to the Dark teams like DA or TB because they hinted at it kinda in a NA issue earlier when he was trying to get his kid back & now I read on Marvel.com that he & Iron Fist could join the Thunderbolts soon
