Where's the someone else? I can't see them in the picture.

That squad is almost ideal for me.

What about females though?

#5 Posted by fesak (7032 posts) - - Show Bio

Looks to me like Spidey is sitting on someone. Maybe not, it's a bad pic.

I think that is X-23 in the back or am I just seeing things

...where's Echo?

That might be Echo, but right behind spidey it looks like someone with long hair with their arm extend over their head. And if you look really closely it looks like two claws coming out.

See it? Or am I crazy?

I'm not doubting you but I could see no reason why X-23 would be there.........

I'm guessing Echo with a weapon in hand.

She's a popular dark female character which would fit with the rest of the New Avengers except for Spider-Man who doesn't have a place on the team.

I'm pleased with the team so far.

I dunno, I just think that two Wolverine characters would be too much on one team (especially when X-Force exists).

Echo or a New Spider-Woman would be my choice.

I don't think Spider-Woman will cause she is going to have her own series starting up and there is the whole skrull thing going on. Being on a team would be a little much. Echo I could see, but I think they would want a more popular female character for the Avengers. And we all know how Wolverine crazy marvel is right now, having two on the Avengers just makes senses.

Bendis likes Echo a great deal, plus she seemed fine in SI #6.
"The Queen" may still be the real Drew.

Not much of a shake-up. The only difference is the addition of Cap. I'm assuming there are a few not-pictured members.

maybe if they did could give away (not completely)  the conclusion of SI.....or what we think is going to happen to that particular character
#18 Posted by The Guild (4 posts) - - Show Bio

Honestly I would be happy if they kept it pretty close to what it was. I think the team had damn near perfect chemistry and would hate for it to be lessened by a big time shake-up. Maybe add in Hawkeye and Patriot, make Jewel a full time member, nothing too huge.

#19 Posted by pixelized (62882 posts) - - Show Bio

would you want Kate and Elijah to pull double duty as young and new avengers or remove them from the baby team completely?

#20 Posted by Slinger (7640 posts) - - Show Bio

I think it's time for the babies to graduate. The rest of the team should go to the Mighty Avengers.

#21 Posted by pixelized (62882 posts) - - Show Bio

isn't stature going? I'm bursting waiting for the series to kick off again. It's been too long

It looks like Stature is going, but, in my opinion, she's the last one on the team that could hang in the big leagues. Hulkling and Wiccan are ready to move up though,

so with this shake up in new avengers what happens to the old new avengers? I love miss Jessie Drew

But she was skrull. I hear Spider-Woman is getting her own ongoing series though.
#25 Posted by Slinger (7640 posts) - - Show Bio

I think it would be a good idea for her to be dead. Not that I don't like her, but I think it would be cool if the "switched" characters were all killed off.

Oh yeah..Si was more for avengers than anything else...i get it now.

Where's Jewel,Echo & Strange?

In my opinion this team is missing two things: female representation and power. Seriously, Avengers are meant to take down threats no single hero could cope with, they are the big leagues. Just looking at this team, even the Runaways and Young Avengers have more power.

The big-league team would be Mighty Avengers.
New and Dark Avengers have different roles.

agreed...
For females, it would make sense if Natalia joined the team, then again she is a SHIELD agent but I think she would be more loyal to Bucky given their relationship
Now the Se-Hulk is power and female rep in 1 package more or less, plus she's one of my favorite females now a days.
You know who could use some time in the spotlight White Tiger, haven't heard a peep outa her since her limited series....why not, she already knows Luke, Spidey and Natalia

that's all I can think of for now

If Black Widow isn't a Mighty Avenger anymore and Cap is doin her..she might as well be a New Avenger....

I suppose that's how it is now, apparently the meaning behind "Avengers" whether it comes after "New", "Mighty", or "Dark" has changed. I just wonder how much they can really accomplish with such a relatively powerless roster.

i'd like to see some of the new warriors move to the avengers since their title is getting canceled...maybe jubilee as a new avenger

agreed and if new avengers is still the unregistered heroes which it looks like it is then the new warriors would be a perfect fit

The New Warrior quit the Initiative...but they are still registered....

well i mean the new new warriors...the unregistered ones

personally I think the New Avengers gets the bad end. There really aren't any powerhouse members on the team at all currently. They need one of the few really strong unregistered heroes like Namor or Thor on the team

The New Avengers have been getting the bad end since the beginning. The most powerful person they had was Strange since Civil War.What doesn't make sense to me is why all those people were in the Secret Avengers (Cap's New Avengers) and then soon as Civil War is over they are left with a bunch of weak ass street levelers.

i think that's the reason right there...new avengers are supposed to be the street level team and the mighty avengers take on the huge threats

but thats unfair because they often have to fight each other. I would send in the New Warriors to fight the Mighty Avengers before I sent in the New Avengers

Not really, they've only fought once as far as I know (Civil War aside and assuming the Avengers/Invaders mini isn't canon,) and when they did, the New Avengers had Dr. Strange to even things out. Mostly the New Avengers just avoid the Mighty Avengers. After the skrull invasion I doubt registration is going to be an issue anymore and there wont be any reason for the teams to go after each other.
#43 Posted by Vance Astro (91123 posts) - - Show Bio

We all know that the Mighty Avengers are going to go easy on the the New Avengers. If they went all out..there would be no New Avengers right now.

True, the only real advantage that the New Avengers have is that they aren't bound by any red tape.

#45 Posted by Midnightist (10858 posts) - - Show Bio

See the thing is now that Strange is gone they're aren't in there league and they need to get back to the saving the world from the big stuff the way the MA does. Most of there recent issues have been dramatic and not seriuos

That's why it's good.
#47 Posted by Slinger (7640 posts) - - Show Bio

Dramatic is serious. The New Avengers are more likely to save the world from underground threats that they route out using sleuthiness, while the Mighty Avengers punch the big obvious stuff.

#48 Posted by John Valentine (16306 posts) - - Show Bio

The Hood's Crime Synidicate > Ultron + Venom Bomb. - well they're more interesting anyway.

#49 Posted by Slinger (7640 posts) - - Show Bio

Exactly!

#50 Posted by Midnightist (10858 posts) - - Show Bio

I mean it should be more evened out with the big obvious stuff like the Venom bomb and the dramatic stuff like the Secret Invasion and
