    Illuminati #1

Great book, first of all. It gives a nice run-down of who the Illuminati are, and why they came to be, which is cool. It also gave a pretty thorough run through of their strengths and weaknesses. Their characters really come through in this issue. For example, they all have excellent leadership qualities, seeing as they're all a leader of a group. (Strange? Idk if he was leading the Defenders then) Namor is also established as the "Anti-Hero" of the group, which is frequently seen in many of his comics. And also, Blackbolt can't talk.(for those who didn't know already :))

Really the reason this was put into publication was because of WWH, and predictions are pretty accurate in saying that at least one of them is going to get knocked off by the end. And also, they disbanded, so they're able to put a cap on the series.

    But anyway, 5/5.
