What the hell was that? 3

Wow. Pretty art. Story. Damn. Never read an Avengers issue where everyone asked "who are you?" "who am i fighting?"  Have i ever read a oneshot that was to be continued elsewhere, thus defeating the purpose of a oneshot. Have I ever read a comic where someone did something for no reason at all and then left. Oh wait i have.  Rant over.   New Avengers Annual #1 raised more questions than answers .First of which is; What the fuck happend to WonderMan, he needs a hug. His hard core fans are gonna b...

    Simon's revengers! 0

New Avengers Annual #1 I see a lot of negativity towards this comic, judging by the user rating and that review down there but I surprisingly enjoyed this issue a little. I remember reading previous issues of Avengers and Simon has been having this huge problem with the idea of this team. He's seen bad things that have happened because of the Avengers and he wants it to end. So he decides to create a team of his own called the Revengers which I didn't really know any of the members on that team!...

Bendis misses an opportunity to create something great 0

Reviewing "New Avengers Annual" #1 is a little tricky for me. Due to my dislike for what Brian Michael Bendis has done with the Avengers, I found myself finding some sort of unintended satisfaction out of what was happening in the issue. Simon Williams, also known as Wonder Man, has put together a team of back burner anti-heroes called The Revengers. His purpose is to confront The Avengers for their past crimes and flub ups and have them answer for them regardless of what it takes.   In his pre...

And the Mansion takes it again... 0

No one likes a hipocrite and that's exactly what Simon Willians has become: used to be a star (at least in Hollywood), he has never been more than a supporting role member of the Avengers (please don't misread or misunderstand my words, I'm saying that he was never a leading role material in the Avengers, even when he was in the West Coast or had his own title, and I'M NOT SAYING THAT HE ISN'T ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL BEINGS IN EARTH, ok?), so after a long time in oblivion (since Disassembled) S...

    Insulting 0

Bendis gets one thing and one thing only right and that's this quote from the first page:My name is Simon Williams. I used to be known as Wonder Man. I used to be an Avenger. Back when that really meant something. After those four sentences, the issue just goes downhill and becomes a massive insult. I quote this section because it's true -- being an Avenger did used to mean something. Now it means jack-all. The Avengers have gone from Earth's Mightiest Heroes to Earth's Lamest Heroes and it's all...

Why Simon Why..Aka..Curse you Bendis!! 0

So it is no secret I am a old school comic book fan. I make no apologies for this as I am almost 40 yrs old, and have been blessed enough to see some of the greatest story lines and comic book events first hand. And this is why I may come across as the "Old Man" in regards to what I want to see and wish happens to my favorite comic characters. So please do not get my stance twisted when I say "get back to the roots" of a character. But this does not mean I am against change, in fact if their is n...
