Magic! Supernatural! Dinner!
Unfortunately this title represents all that an Avengers book shouldn't be about, especially because Bendis insists on threading the path of supernatural and long-boring conversations over dinner table. Having a magic background was great when the team was on the run, in the Civil War and Dark Reign series, giving Dr. Strange a more active role, this worked out pretty good, but since the new release of this title (two years ago), this book was almost about magic threats and supernatural problems: this isn't Avengers problem! If you want magic to be an Avengers problem, go and create an Avengers Dark, just like DC did with Justice League Dark, but again, I'm sorry, I can't be persuated to enjoy this kind of material. Bendis is just recycling stuff he did for the first arc story of this book, so if it is only to publish bad material, Marvel should've ended this title after AvX. Wanna see more repetition? What about the endless annoying Cage/Jones discussion about how this environment isn't fit for raising a baby? This has been on for an eternity in this title, every single arc story they have this discussion! Please, leave already, I just had it enough about the two of you! Just to conclude this mess: another dinner!!!! Come on Bendis, we know meals are important (even for super heroes) but you're just trivializing the subject!! The art of Michael Gaydos also didn't help, I like him in stuff like Alias, but this issue was just off! Sorry for those who liked, but if you can, totally avoid this issue!!
