New Avengers 29-Cap being Cap 0

Overview:I have to admit, I’ve always like the idea of the Illuminati, not necessarily how it’s been implemented throughout the years, but the idea of it has always been interesting for me. The leaders of the superhero world meeting in secret to discuss how certain situations should be handled? Fantastic. But sadly more often than not the point of Illuminati issues is to be a soap box for the writer’s views on the current event or predicament Marvel finds itself in and this is one of those issue...

    Got Illuminati? 3

Recommendation: "Very Interesting! Pick it up!"Have you heard of the Illuminati? Marvel's Illuminati, that is... Well if you haven't, this issue will be a crash course. If you want a bit more background, go here.I really liked this issue. I have been following every issue of AVX - all the tie-ins (here are my reviews for the Act II tie-ins). Many of them can be just read and forgotten, but this issue, much like many of the other "New Avengers" tie-ins, was well worth digesting and reading again....

New Avengers #29 ReviewOverview:A meeting of the Illuminati called by Captain America doesn’t quite go as planned. The Good:Seeing how each of some of the most powerful men in the Marvel Universe react to the events happening is really cool, particularly Professor X and Mr. Fantastic. Illuminati 0

This has got to be one of the best New Avengers crossover for AvX so far if not the best crossover overall. I have to say I the thing that has made me like New Avengers more than the regular series so far is Deodato's art it's amazing and really works with most of the characters. Not a whole lot happens in this comic its mainly a throw back to the Illuminati series and has a similar feel except instead of deciding what should be done in the world they are sitting around feeling sorry for themselv...

    Illuminating... 1

The Illuminati call to order during the AvX storyline. Who shows up? Who sides with who? And what impact will this have on the Phoenix Five? (some spoilers to AvX are here)The GoodI loved the concept of the Illuminati. It only makes sense that the most powerful members of the Marvel U would band together for behind the scenes decision making for the tough issues. It is possible one of the most clever uses of the ret-con ever.It only makes sense that these men would meet with the conflict that th...
