AF Reviews: AvengersSo, this is now the fifth or sixth Avengers vs. X-Men "tie-in" and the funny thing is, it's still not Avengers vs. X-Men. Labelling this as a tie-in is ridiculous, the X-Men do not appear and the issue is pretty much more standard Luke Cage and Jess Jones fanfiction from Brian Bendis.The writing is the expected from Bendis: annoying, monotone and just not very good. I couldn't spoil this comic book for you even if I wanted to, you already read what "happened" in the previous issues...How is it that a guy that writes a ton of dialogue manages to say nothing with it, and keep a job as a scriptwriter? Bendis has ruined the whole thing for me, three issues into the arc and the thing hasn't even started!!! These should all be compressed into one book and be #0, all three!!! I can imagine some, perhaps even many, finding this issue plodding, or even to be pure filler. It's a lot of talking heads as our gathered Avengers of multiple teams (minus Storm) mill around waiting to see how Cap and Cyclops' meeting goes.
