It's The End Of The World As We Know It ... And I Feel ...

Picture this, you're an Avenger and you know the world is going to end in three hours. What do you do? Who do you spend it with? These are the questions facing the world's mightiest heroes because for the past 23 issues, the whole mulitverse has been collapsing in on itself which leads to several moral quandaries. If two earths are about to collide, is it justified to destroy one planet to save the other? Faced with the ultimate decision and all of the destructive power in the galaxy, the Avengers could not bring themselves to kill billions of people, even to save their own. Well ... except Namor, he was totally cool with murdering billions of people. For those of you not familiar with Namor, he's the Marvel version of Aquaman, but not a pussy.

I know, it's shocking. Look at the Avengers all dumb struck. Someone had to man up, and looks like it had to be motherfucking Namor once again.

This makes you a badass Namor, that's what it makes you. This story has been fantastic and a lot of questions are posed to the heroes about the basic morals. It's cool to see each hero wrestles with these concepts in their own way, but they all of course come to the same conclusion, again, except Namor. That's it though right? Namor saved the day? Well, remember this is millions if not billions of realities falling down on one another, and this issue starts with another planet about to collide in just three hours. So what to do? I for one have to agree with the Hulk on this one. Get some beer, sit on a cliff, and wait for the end of the world. ...because it's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel ... god I hate that song.

Some people may complain that this book gets a little heady, and may, on occasion, crawl up its own ass, but overall I feel you get a very good story with a lot of thought and character development. My only gripe as of late has been the art. Don't get me wrong it's not bad, it just doesn't have the gravity or weight this book needs. This has only been the past 3-4 issues, so I am hoping for another artist soon. Once again, it's just the style that doesn't fit the book. Also, why does the Hulk look Chinese in that panel? I feel like he should be eating rice with chop sticks on that page. That's mean, I know, and a little racist, right? It is really cool to see each Avenger, and how they would spend their last hours... or is it their last hour? If only there was a badass version of Aquaman who will save the day?

    KAAABOOOOOOM!
