    New V.S Darker New

Another good issue which finally depicts an epic battle that makes it feels more like a team book now…..but unfortunately I still have to roll my eyes at some stuff like if I was reading the other avengers book.

The issue starts simple, Osborn is being all high and mighty about doing a good thing with his creepy looking avengers and people seem to be buying, seems like it because if logic was around. People would run away as they shout “holly (censored) is that crazy lying, psychotic, murderous, warmongering green goblin!!! And he has a bunch of creepy ass people who of course are not avengers and probably villains like last time!!!!” okay moving on…..Luke Cage, the licensed avenger whose team even if it’s not the main, still have rights to arrest super villains obviously tells him that he is going back to the joint, but Norman for some reason disagrees as he goes around acting the same way he did during avengers 19-20 as he claims that cage has no authority…..despite being the one running the thunderbolts and probably has authority to put back any escaped convict back to the raft (is he still running the team? I stopped reading individual issues since fear itself ended but in the fearless he was still there so yeah…..not having authority my ass, maybe osborn isn't as smart as people think he is if he does not do his research properly).

The epic battle starts as the fight itself is great, the new avengers fight together as they cover each others backs unlike the evil ones who seem to not get the team dynamic thing that well….oh! and Osborn has gained superpowers as he sends Luke flying like a rag doll which spider-man knows he can't do (wonder how will this factor in the future if he ever has a throw down with spider-man in his book). As the battle goes on, spidey finally meets his evil version with six arms as they have a nice chat about spider-island, his six arms and spider-sense before the black spider-man is sent flying when skarr runs over him when he was hit by iron fist, again proving that spidey is one of the best avengers around. He won without the need to move a finger and made me laugh a lot (and without the need to go around cussing like bendis thinks that just because you drop an f-bomb it will get funny instantly....which it doesn't). Then as I was thinking that this issue deserved a 4.5 again I dropped my guard down and the stupid starting to come up. Some of the people who were witness of osborn’s “heroism” are hiding as they watch the battle and start opening their mouths……and again I can’t stop rolling my eyes as they start asking what are the avengers fighting about…which anyone with a brain could answer that Osborn is a super villain and an escaped convict. But of course things reach to a point of stupidity so big it’s not even funny as another asks if is a bad guy……are you kidding me!? Of course he is a bad guy!!! everyone already knows this!! Did this people just come out of living under a rock recently? My god bendis, great way to make what started as an epic issue into another generic “civilians hate the heroes” plot all over again (plus, aren't they watching the fight? Osborn’s avengers are obviously trying to kill the avengers, with the scarlet witch cosplayer poisoning strange or fake wolverine trying to kill the real one or evil ms marvel doing something i will talk about in just a moment….goddamit Bendis, and this title is the better one out of the two avengers books you are writing). The fight turns to the worst as the quinjet mockingbird was using got taken down by the evil ms marvel and causes major damage to nearby buildings as superia looks all proud as she sees the pilot injured gravely (you see!?)….And still the people blame the avengers of it!!! Oh sure!! If the avengers make a tiny mistake people hate them, but if the obvious evil bunch cause something like dropping a jet at a populated area which has many injured and probably some casualties as well….they can get away from it for they are the "real heroes" in the eyes of the civilians…...okay it sounds like if I hate this issue but I don’t it’s just….this moments of stupidity that hurt a lot for it being so generically painful. Seeing that things are getting bad for them and the nearby citizens, strange uses his magic to confuse the enemy and escape. As they get teleported to a rooftop away from the fight. The team discusses how badly they were set up as I still wonder why the hell doesn't the team get a real powerhouse that can help them change the course of this kind of battles (I mean, this is the team with the most defeats out of all the three avenger teams, first they lose against the revengers and now this? I believe this was the team that needed a few more extra members after fear itself). The issue ends as Osborn unleashes his trump card at the team….the cyborg version of Thor “Ragnarok”. I believed they are (censored) now....

    The Good:

The battle itself was enjoyable, deodato has shown how great he is in team battles like this. It wasn’t your simple one on one fights but an all out brawl which showed all of the characters (except mockingbird who was piloting) being competent as they managed to handle even a hulk when none of them have a close resemblance in power levels than him….loved daredevil too for he was awesome in here, so was spidey who seemed to have been the most useful here. I mean, he just distracted his evil six-arm version so his opponent would get run over by a green giant, helping strange and wolverine when they were in trouble and was the only one to actually defeat one of their enemies (the scarlet witch) truly showed that he should had stayed in the main team for he is kinda more competent than most of them anyways.

    The Bad:

This could had been great if the civilians would had kept their mouths shut, or they wouldn't had acted all idiotic. I understand their feelings for the avengers now after finishing reading both new avengers/avengers annuals. People suspect of them because one of them made the team look like if they were hiding little dark secrets to the public when they aren't except for a few secrets that normal people wouldn't be able to handle (I mean, I don’t think people would take well the fact that a woman once changed reality completely to a world where mutants were the ones hunting them down or the existence of the infinite gem…..or that ultron will rise at any moment). But the problem here is that people act like if Osborn has never done anything wrong…..that’s the major problem I have here, I can understand that his followers feel like this because they are just brainless minions but when normal people who know all about the things he did during and before he was the top cop……makes me feel that bendis doesn’t go out outside that much. It would had worked better if people had mixed feelings, that some would support the avengers and others be against it. But instead they had to go with the cliche.

    Overall: 4/5

I liked this issue a lot; it’s filled with superhero team action with great moments of most of the characters (and spidey kicked lots of butt here and it was great) but then there was the stupid factor that hurt it but It was not enough to ruin all the good parts as the battle will continue next issue and I can’t wait.

Some may see this as a rehash. However I find that statement just a half truth. Darkseid is trying to end the Universe in DC yet again however fans are loving it. This issue we get to enjoy Brain Michael Bendis last arc on New Avengers. And yes! Happy face, it is fun. There’s awesome fight scenes and yet interesting New Dark Avengers. And The New Dark Avengers are not to be underestimated indeed as they do give The New Avengers a run for there money. And the cliffhanger is a oh great we’re in fo...
