Plot Summary

  Old Bailey purchases the mutilated corpse of the Marquis from the sewer folk at the floating market and raises him from the dead with an egg in a box that de Carabas had given him for safe keeping.  Hunter betrays Door to the Messrs in exchange for a spear that can kill the Great Beast of London, which arrives soon after the resurrected Marquis saves Richard from becoming Hunter's prey.
