Character History

Natty Bumppo is a white man who has no Indian blood in him but has lived so long with them he is caught between the two worlds, known by the whites as Hawkeye or the Deerslayer, the Indians call him La Longue Carabine, or The Long Rifle.  If your name was Natty Bumppo you’d pick up as many nicknames as you could too.

His two closest friends are Chingachgook and his son Uncas.  They are the last two members of the Mohican tribe. Natty Bumppo is not the last of the Mohicans.  Eventually his friend and blood brother Chingachgook becomes the last when when his son Uncas dies.

League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen

In the  League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen Natty is part of the 18th Gentry League.
