Danger is back with the X-Men and it’s time to pay for the death of her first victim, Wing, in ASTONISHING X-MEN. First in line for pay-back is Armor. Meanwhile, Magik has banished Anole to Limbo, but why? Cannonball’s hands are full dealing with the incoming military jet threatening the mutant’s new home. All this plus a story that is so top secret we can’t tell you who is writing it or drawing it or who it’s about!
In part 3 of this 4 issue limited series, the X-Men and their allies are once again forced to confront their inner demons, come to terms with unresolved issues, and prove themselves not only capable of surviving in a world where they are the minority, but of defending it, as well.
In "Unresolved Issues" Armor confronts Danger regarding the role she played in the suicide of her teammate, Wing, and is stunned to learn that revenge is never quite as easy as it seems.
In "Big Boy Pants", Magik teaches Anole a lesson about getting too big for his britches when the X-Men gather to grow their own food on Utopia.
In "Boxes", Madison Jeffries recalls his last days spent with estranged wife Diamond Lil, and contemplates what he must do to cope in an increasingly hostile and inhospitable world.
Finally, in " Cannonball", the titular character practices honing his powers with Surge and Magma, and garners unwanted attention from the United States Air Force. What follows is a lesson in tolerance between humanity and mutantkind.
