Greta Dorman hires Nathan to find her mother Diana, mysteriously disappeared .. Diana is a naturalist who is studying mutated animals , such as "centilegs", in the Territory . With the help of a friend of Diana, John Adams, Nathan traces the steps of the woman and finds a giant cocoon hidden in a cave. The agent discovers that Diana has left for Mars, and asks for help to Jerry Lone, a shuttle driver, to take him on the Red Planet .
