I know this late but one of my friends told how messed-up this episode was. Granted that I don't shippuden watch due to their long pacing & fillers but, what were the animators    smoking when they decided to release this episode. 
1) First off the drawings for the characters were simplied too much to point of looking like colours beings throw around  
2) The animation took the seriousness of the fight, and turned it into a laughing stock 
3) Too many things that never happened in the manga i.e. the upsteam of water, naruto hitting pain 
4) They made the 8 tails naruto look like a naked chiwawa      
5) It's a horrible compared to manga

I actually like fillers.. In fact to me the anime counts more than manga.. 
 
Why?
 
 Because the manga is nothing but the blue print for the anime.. 
 
BOOOYAA! 
 
They do manga first to see if people will like the show then if is accepted they make it a anime.
