while we're at it, every movie, TV show, cartoons, and book that depicts sex is perverted. Sex in real life is perverted too. I find the Simpsons to be perverted too... them and their scenes with Marge and Homer and their 4 fingers....As for Witchblade, it's for mature audiences, which you are most likely not.

So I'm starting to read comics again after nearly a year off. I need help catching up as I'm a little behind. I stopped around the beginning of the Skrull Invasion. So I'd like some issue numbers of important tie-ins. What's been the events after Skrull Invasion? Has anything important happened in Spider-Man (issue numbers)? Is Psylocke still only in New Exiles? What up's with Astonishing X-Men and what are issues worth reading since the Skrull Invasion for the entire X-Men series.

On the DC side. I actually forgot what I was reading. What was going on around the time of the Skrull Invasion for DC? I remember stopping about in the middle of Batman R.I.P (what were those issues again?) Also what are relevent Batman stories since then that I should read? Supergirl? Wonder Woman?

As much as I hated the whole One More Day and issue 545, I will admit that Brand New Day has not been that had. In fact, I would probably loved this arc more had they not blown it on OMD, and is the reason why I cannot fully enjoy BND. However, when I forget everything that happened in OMD, it does kind of feel like the Spider-Man of old.

With that being said, let's get on with the good and the bad starting with the art. Salvador Larroca does an excellent job in this issue, although I've always liked Larroca's art. Stephane Peru's coloring really made it look good.

As for what's been happening to Spidey, it's been kind of depressing reading about such a depressed Spidey for the past couple years, it's fun to see him so happy and enthusiastic again. His jokes are a lot better then what they were these past few years. But it's kind of annoying how the writers are shoving the fact that he has web-shooters again by having him be empty for a long time. Why doesn't he just make some more? It feels like he's been empty for multiple days already. We also get to see Jackpot in action, sort of, which I am finally glad to see.

So in short, as long as you ignore the Marvel continuity error, it's not that bad of a read.

Being a big Spider-Man fan and have been since my age was single digit, I'm obviously outraged by the direction that Joe Quesada has decided to take Spider-Man. I've stuck with Spidey through the highs (Death of Gwen, symbiote Spidey, Kraven's last hunt, death of Harry), and through the lows (Death of Gwen lol, The Other, Sin's Past, Clone Saga although I liked it, they stretched it too much). And I have seriously never been more outraged over a comic before this particular Spider-Man story.

Now, I know JQ and a bunch of other Marvel execs were not fond of the Peter and MJ marriage, and if they truly wanted to rid Mary Jane from his life, there are plenty of other ways then to make a lame deal with Mephisto. This begs the question, why do they hate MJ so much? I remember reading an interview somewhere that said they didn't like MJ because she made Peter seem older, and how can a nobody like Peter Parker land a hot model for a wife in MJ. But I digress.

Everyone knows this is the ultimate scape goat for retracting the fact that Spidey unmasked himself. But that's not all Marvel wanted to do, they obviously were like "hey might as well get rid of MJ too since we hate her." No matter how much the Marvel execs hated MJ, isn't this story taking it a little too far? MJ may not have been a suitable wife for Peter (argument for Gwen Stacy supporters), but MJ was there since the beginning too and has tons of fans. Now, I want you to know that I hate it when writers give in to the fans, because it could stop writers from pouring out non-biased ideas. But this is different, JQ and some Marvel execs hated and always will hate that marriage between Spidey and MJ. Not to mention they are literally erasing 20-30 years worth of Spider-Man stories.

Anyways, I've calmed down in the past few days. I'm willing to see what they decide to do with Spidey. If it gets ridiculous, I'm going to stop reading Spider-Man comics until Marvel gets a new Chief-in-Editor who will fix all this crap back. One thing I'm really interested in right now is the opinion of Stan Lee. What does he think of this? He wasn't a big fan of MJ either and have always wanted Peter to marry Gwen.

I don't know about you but I have been waiting for Paul Dini to write stories about Harley since he told DC to not do anything with his character because he wanted to write about her back story. This wasn't a story about Harley's back story but it was still pretty good. I kind of like Harley reformed but I'd rather have her be not too good and not too bad. I've been liking what Dini is doing with Scarface and making him still a mystery to us all. Scarface has been pretty important during Dini's run and I can't wait till they reveal something important about him. I'll admit I'm not really fond of Scarface but he's been pretty cool in these recent issues. On to the art, it was excellent except I thought Harley's face looked a little weird, but other than that... it's a solid read. 4 thumbs up!

Well... not really lol, I just thought that was a suitable title. Anyways what an excellent issue. I think everyone saw this coming, when Renee would finally wear the Question's mask. Renee's story has finally lit a spark for me when I saw that panel of her in the mask. I've been pretty bored with the length of their story seeming to just stretch out for me, oh well it's all good now. I'm kind of disappointed that they didn't talk about Batman more but hopefully they will in the later issues.

The art was okay, I wasnt really digging the coloring except for that panel of Renee in the mask. All in all I give it about 4 stars because its finally the revelation of Renee.

I have been enjoying this run on Batman that Grant Morrison is writing. The stories have been excellent and this week's Batman is no different.

This is a typical story that shows how well his deductive skills are and what goes through his mind as he is investigating. But Grant Morrison really writes it well as you see both the cold type Batman that will get what he wants from the bad guys, but also you can see the compassionate side of Batman as he wants people to turn a new leaf.

Andy Kubert does an excellent job drawing this issue, maybe the reason I liked the art in this issue so much is because Kubert's Batman reminds me of Jim Lee's.

Nonetheless, and excellent issue overall. Good to pick up even if you haven't been following the Batman comics.
