Nice cover. Love a man with claws and a goatee. Bonus points.

As for crushed mutant and his dog? A bit graphic, but nicely done. Ah, the dark era of supremacists and sociopathic nation-state leaders, who could've asked for a better lookout? Loved Trask's short coming, Magneto was portrayed rather nicely in this one. Introduction ceremony was cute, and did I mention I loved Jean's hair-do? Bobby resue mission was intersting, and freeze the Sentinel in mid-fall waas done quite well. Crazy!Hormonal!Teenage!Bobby? Nice. Problems? Toad eating a prehistoric bird in the middle of Quicksilver's two second speech at the Savage Lands. Nice little touch with the murder though. Loved the little 'Xavier will b*tch slap you before you die' speech, and of course, the best part was the end.

Loved the last page. Wolverine half naked? 100 pounds. Wolverine half naked in a swanp with his claws out? 200 pounds. Wolverine half naked in a swang with his claws out and a little birdie on his right shoulder? Priceless.

Double  dose from Cyclops, I see. Nice one, Shades. Referring to the cover, if you're confused.

As for the issue, I'll lay out the problems right now. Too little fuzzy dude. Period. I won't lie, the fight at the dance was great, loved Bobby's lines, loved the team pic, yada yada yada. But too little Nightcrawler? Unacceptable. Also, a bit small and dreary on the Phoenix part, but at least it fared better than the Dazzler scene. Tsk, tsk, I was hoping for at least a little girl and girl catfight. A tiny mental breakdown, and all of a sudden she's pointing at miss brunette with fiery red eyes? Nice touch with the eyes, but not sold. I liked how it followed suit with the previous issue, which was nice, but sbesides that, not much else to cheer about. Boggs looked nice in the uniform, another batch of people were saved, Colossus carried his boyfriend home, but besides that, 'tis a bit bland.

Nice cover. I mean come one, luvs. Who doesn't like a little competition for the redhead? Two hands, two men, two very big egos, and the little princess stuck in the middle, now isn't that a blast? Too bad it has nothing whatsoever to do with the issue plotline. Big no-no. Nice cover, but absolutely no relevance. Pity.

As for the issue itself, quite well done. Much better from my hideous with the Date Night Ending. Ah, the Elliot Boggs line, a bit redundant with the amount of characters we've had that fell from grace, but 'tis alright. Nothing too bad about a little repetiveness. Then we have worried!Logan looking out dear Rogue. Honestly, why doesn't he just adopt her, already? Tsk, tsk James. Love Rogue's character in this one, the edge, the vivaciousness, and of course, her giving lip to James? Priceless. True Gambitian process there, she picked up our cherie well. As for the Danger Room it, even better. 68's cover should've been used for this issue instead. I'll leave the Boggs/Cyclps interaction out, like I said before, the repitveness can get a little boring.

Ah, the return of Lorna and Alex. Lovely summoning, and great to see Piotr and Jean-Paul smiling again. Picked up the slack from the previous issue methinks, and far more importance was played. Nice to see the brotherhood again, but it just doesn't beat the dive bar fight from 68. Mmm, a good bar fight never hurt anyone. :D Overall, nicely executed.

Interesting, but not interesting enough. Basically, the Date Night issue ending wasn't up to par. The only parts that took par were dive bar fight scene with a long awaited Krakoom, Cornelius, and Lilandra. The Rogue/Iceman soft porn wasn't neccesary. A kiss would've been fine, some talking would've been better, and I dunno, maybe some understanding between the two? It was bad. Period. Scot and Jean cuddling wasOK enough, and Colossus Blues would've fared better if we had caught another climpse of Nightcrawler and his faring issues with Piotr instead of his reveire roll on with Dazzler. Overall, a three is the best I can give this issue, and honestly, nothing more.
