This was a really good book.I like where this is going.I'm curious to see how Norman taking over the Initiative is going to pan out.It seems the Hood & Taskmaster are just lackeys at this point and further solicits almost suggest that Taskmaster will be joining the Dark Illuminati or Cabal.I like this new Avengers Resistance, but not so much what they did to Komodo. That sucks.Sure she's extra smart and all that and could still help the team but now that she's in a wheelchair I forsee alot of Oracle like qualities for her.Anyway,I like the fact that we finally got to see Constrictor do something useful for once..but i'm not to fond of his relationship with Diamondback. It's kind of random but understandable.I would like for a change to actually see Diamondback do something.I mean I haven't seen her do anything useful in ages.Overall I loved the book. The art was pretty good. The story was major, the ending was surprising, some of the concepts used in the comic were interesting.I can't wait to see what happens next issue.

I don't know why I picked this up but I did and it sucks.I don't like the character anyway and I should have known but I bought it anyway to have all the Dark Reign tie-ins.This comic is terrible. The art sucks, the dialogue attempts to be funny and it's not and the whole premise behind it is lame. Also I was under the impression Iron Man killed M.O.D.O.K so i'm pissed he's getting a tie-in.He goes to a High school reunion for god sakes! M.O.D.O.K went to high school? Is he even a person? They let him in school? He's a head with arms and legs sticking out! This comics is absolutely ridiculous and extremely short. It's almost not a comic. It's like a short in the back of another comic. This didn't deserve the print.

I didn't actually read the comic.I have the motion comic version and I have to say it wasn't bad.I'm not to fond of the voice overs though.I couldn't tell if Jessica has a New York accent or a British Accent. It sounded like both lol.Anyway,in this comic we see the beginning of Jessica's affiliation with S.W.O.R.D.Agent Brand blames herself for what happened to her with the whole Secret Invasion and Queen Veranke thing and offers her a job at S.W.O.R.D.I believe she is in bed when Spider-Man comes in talking some Avengers nonsense and Jessica doesn't by it so in turn she ends up fighting in him and uncovering him as a skrull. It was a pretty good comic for the first issue and on top of that the animation wasn't so bad.I love Alex Maleev's art.I hope to see it throughout this entire comic. His art goes so well with Jessica Drew.

Ok..so coming into this I had just read Captain America #600 and #601 and I must say they were slightly disappointing. As a huge DD fan,I want to hope the best for this but Brubaker wrote both so anything could happen (I like Brubaker's work though). Now The cover is absolutely amazing.I bought 2 copies of the Variant and one of the original cover. The artwork in DD has been consistently good throughout his career. The cover through me off a little bit though because I thought everyone on the cover would be in the book.Sadly, there was no Echo,no Cage,no Iron Fist,no Gladiator,no Spider-Man,No Black Widow and so on and sort forth.I think it was just a collage of his past endeavors as a symbol of the end to all of it.

The story wasn't explosive but it.Introduces a gateway to stories to come.Master Izo basically sets up everything in this book so the DD ends up being the new leader of the Hand. It's very ingenious and DD gets his revenge on Lady Bullseye. He swiftly makes lightwork of her.We also the demise of the Owl and Murdock give up hope with his wife. This is the comic that would end this era in Daredevil and usher in Diggie's era.I think Brubaker made a very good impression on DD.He definately left his mark.

Ok,let's skip the semantics. This book sucks.I didn't review the first issue because I wanted to give the book as chance.Firestar,Pulsar,Black Cat,Hellcat are all really good characters.I like them..I really do,but why have this flashy superhero style covers and pretend this is an action packed book when you get into it....it is the worst thing you will ever read.Is this Marvel's attempt at getting women to read comics? Is that what this is? As a male should I stop reading this now and save the trouble.I mean the back and forth banter between them is so lame.

I'm giving this a 1 out of 5.This i the biggest disappointment in Marvel History.

Now,I was a bit skeptical coming into this book because this seems like another one of those gimmick books like Marvel Apes or Marvel Zombies, but actually this book is very well written and after reading 3 issues..I have yet to see any bad art.So basically what it is is Lockjaw has a task and he needs help doing it so he assembles a team of superhero pets like him. They are so cute with their little animal adventures, fighting T-rex's and what not.

I would definitely recommend buying this and the variants just for the art.A an Avengers fan I was thoroughly satisfied. In fact I liked this more than some issues of Dark,New,and Mighty Avengers.

I give it a 3.5 OUT OF  5.

Ok,Dark Avengers #2 was a very exciting comic for me.I am a huge fan of anything Avengers and this comic just reassured me.The way everyone is being portrayed is really good.I like how Norman is acting more like Tony did when he was Director of S.H.I.E.L.D...like a real leader.I love how everyone else is taking the roles of other characters but are still themselves.I also enjoyed the humor in this book.First with Victoria Hand offering to replace Venom with D-Man,a homeless superhero and then with the new Ms.Marvel (Karla Sofen) aka. Moonstone ragging on Daken because she didn't know who he was.The team surprisingly seems to work pretty well together and get along. You would think some of these characters would clash just based on their nature. For me this book gave back the Avengers feel...back when New Avengers was reforming.Everyone getting acquainted and things like that and everyone kind of being skeptical about the team thing and the team not really matching up well, everyone seems kind of randomly thrown in.I like that tone in the beginning of a comic such as this.

The story wasn't the only thing that caught my eye though. The visuals were perfect for this book.Deodoto.Jr had to do this book.Nobody but him could have made this book come alive like this. The team has a Thunderbolts feel to it and his art was great in that and now with Dark Avengers it still sticks and what's better he'll get to use alot more characters because Dark Avengers has a larger jurisdiction.Overall it was a good book.I wouldn't say as a whole it was perfect but definitely worth a purchase and a read.

Ok..this was a pretty good issue.I actually like this team. It's a good an diverse roster of characters.I rather enjoyed the fighting in the comic..the Agents work very well as a team.I cannot say their is anyone on this team I don't like..even Gorrilla-Man (and I am usually opposed to animal characters..especially apes).I still feel like I didn't get enough from the first issue.I don't know where it's going..what's in store for issue two.The Agents seem to be making some type of deal with Osborn that he is actually interested in.Neither of them trust each other so I am banking on betreyal. The Agents seem to have their own Agenda though. They are one of the only parties in Marvel right now that aren't really good or bad..just in the middle.I thought it was Hilarious that Man Mountain Marko was eaten by Lao..the Dragon in which Jimmy Woo had been taken advice from, and what made it more funny was that he was warned before hand that if he veered off the course..his safety couldn't be guaranteed.
There was an instance in the comic where Venus manipulated Sentry to get her to Osborn..which brings me to the point..Sentry is so easily manipulated. The fact he is working for Osborn itself proves that. Not that the Goddess,Venus couldn't have manipulated any man but Sentry is extra accepting of things like this. The end of the book brings you too the past where the Agents teamed up with Wolverine against the Brood..and the fight was pretty lame but the dialouge and the team work was there. The art was pretty bad too.I don't bother to look at the artists name if I don't know it and he's terrible.

Overall the comic was great. The art in the beggining of the comics was great but when they went off into the past it kind of fell off. There wasn't much action but it's the first issue and I expected that but this team shows promise.I like the roster..it's well rounded and they seem to be a different sort of team to what we are used to seeing so..I can't wait until the next issue.I just hope the art remains consistent and I am right about this being a good team.I hope the comic doesn't fall of and get really boring.

Well I must say from the beginning I wasn't a big fan of Pixie so when 501 came out and I knew it was going to be a storyline involving Pixie.I had my doubts about it. This comic seemed to be like a start over for the X-men. Like they are returning to being the X-men team that I always enjoyed.
So the team has relocated to San Francisco in their new base which will possibly be there new permanent home.I never cared to much about where any teams base was,nor do I think there was a great reason to move...but whatever,it's something new.

X-men comics have been pretty hardcore lately,in fact most comics involving mutants have...especially X-Force. Our favorite pink haired mutant, Pixie received a royal stomping at the hands of the Hellfire Cult. She fought back though...I liked that side of her.I like to see what a character does in situations like that. Meanwhile Cyclops and Emma are having this conversation about furthering the race and making babies and all that jazz, but the whole time I was thinking....Why is the art so bad? Greg Land usually does it for me but his art in this book was garbage. His expressions looked fake,Emma and Cyclops look just plain weird,it just looked artificial.

Other than that there was the classic X-man to X-man banter which I love,Pixie popping up half dead, the Red Queen's S&M outfit, and a little Karma at the end, if you know what I mean.

I'm giving this a 4 out of 5.The art wasn't that bad, just the parts with Emma and Cyclops, maybe Land didn't have any good material to copy, the rest of it was really good, and as a person who just got back into X-men I can say it really captured the feel of what I always liked about X-men.The whole hanging out in the mansion, one loner getting chased down by the Hellfire Cult or the FOH, and then Wolverine going to Avenge a young member. It was usually Jubilee back in the day but now it's Pixie.
