In the realm of comic there are thing that just annoy me to no Fu$%ing end, deus ex machincas, comic death, bad plot lines, inconcistency, jumping the dead and extinct shark with broken skies, and a few other things I just don't feel I should gabber about right now. Out of all of these nothing and I mean absolutly nothing annoys me more than a bad power set, and heres to of the

bad power set number one
  1.power mimicry
  2.super adaptation

when some villian has this power set sure there is going to be a fantastic fight seen, but still there is going to be some plot cupon/token that the guys powers don't work against or depend apon, and if he dosen't you have too find a way kill him or reason with the villian. and when a hero has these power they aren't that popular they either fade in to obscurity or are canneled. The reason for this is pretty obvious and I no that none of you need me to say it but I have a deep seated need to state the obvious so thats what I gonna do, the reason is because not only are you is the character mimicing super powers but he is also changing the so that they are better greater than the were before and they don't have any of the weakness or vulnerabilities as the character that had them in the first place and that is why you don't see them that much .

Bad power set two
 1.energy manipulation
 2. energy generation
 3.energy absorption
Who ever came up with these powers first probably had a good Idea but now all it is being used for is simulating other powers, projecting energy, enhancing pre-existing traits,  basically making a god like character or a damn near un stopable force to be reconeced with and some times dose no make any sense be it scientific, magic, spiritual, metaphysical, heck even in a philosophical senses it make absolutly little. the only limitations on this power set are-
1 the energy being used the,
 2 the amount of energy,
3 for complex actions it should be very knowledge intensive but most of the time its not ,
4 beilevablity,
5 that someone ot something can absorb or negate these powers.  And character with this power set tend to have little to no weaknesses and the conflict tend to be with the powers them selves and the restriction that they place on the person and the thing that that they place in to the story have been clie chade to death.

And while I'm type ranting on powers let me say this, I have learned this
1-powers that are not natural to a entity can bee removed (iron mans armor, the iron fist chi of shun lon the undying)
2-powers that rely on a single thing can be suppressed or negated( Supermans powers rely on yellow sun light, the Mutants get their power from the "X-gene")
I'm trying to work these pricibles in to a story I'm writing the protagonist is is given three powers and the power allow him to endow himself and other with more powers, and he thinks like a transhunanist-that the human body and mind are mechanisms to be imporved upon. He  also engineers powers in to himself so encase one power was enpared the other could compenstate for it, and also trains him self while "truning off" his powers thus making him human and traing as such in order to do two things
1-If all of his power are lost he won't need them
2-build willpower.
I'm gonna place a prototype of this character in my super bio, good by, over and out, end of line.
